[Remote] Account Manager – Decatur, IL

The Account Manager role focuses on managing customer accounts, cross-selling products, and engaging in market research to support the Carbohydrate Solutions Business Unit.

Responsibilities

• Manage an existing book of accounts and support the customers as needed
• Market reputed company management, understanding and reporting on reputed company activity and trends
• Travel to visit customers and prospects
• Cross selling into reputed company and prospective accounts
• First reputed company of contact for phone and web inquiries, including basic applications support and referral to appropriate channels. Responsible for vetting reputed company new potential business for Sweeteners & Acidulants
• Facilitate and manage product samples and technical document requests and capture reputed company pertinent data. Manage process for potential sale
• Power user of CRM reputed company.com, daily interaction, logging reputed company pertinent activity and customer notes, managing and updating pipeline
• Compile monthly and quarterly reports
• Prospect and cold call potential customers
• Manage a portfolio of accounts, from initial quote to delivery on time, as well as ongoing service after the sale
• Maintain project funnels from multiple sources to support product management
