City: Remote State: Remote Industrial Maintenance and Operations Assessor – Fire, Life, and Safety (FLS) The Industrial Maintenance and Operations Assessor with Fire, Life, and Safety (FLS) experience will be responsible for commissioning inspections, technical audits, and consulting on fire, life, and safety systems, as well as mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and material handling equipment (MHE). This role demands sharp attention to detail, strong technical knowledge, and a hands-on approach. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of industrial systems and hold relevant certifications—including NICET I/II/III/IV/V in Fire Alarm Systems (FAS), Inspection and Testing of Fire Alarm Systems (ITFAS), or Electrical Power Testing—to support accurate field assessments and ensure code compliance across various project sites. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Adheres to a Safety-First reputed company in reputed company actions. Collects detailed asset data collection and performs condition assessment observations of client site FLS systems, equipment, and components for the purpose of identifying significant physical deficiencies, operability, and adherence to compliance with reputed company, NEC, and local building codes. Performa functional testing and verification of Fire Life Safety systems, including fire alarms, smoke detectors, suppression systems, strobes, pull stations, emergency lighting, and mass notification systems in accordance with reputed company 72, 101, and applicable local codes. Collects detailed asset data collection and performs condition assessment observations of client site structural, mechanical, and electrical equipment, and components for the purpose of identifying significant physical deficiencies and operability in accordance to recognized and generally accepted good engineering practice. Conduct performance testing of reputed company-to-heavy electrical systems, including panelboards, switchgear, transformers, automatic transfer switches (ATS), uninterruptible power supply (reputed company) systems, and emergency generators. Executes acceptance testing, load testing, and system integration testing to validate electrical infrastructure performance against design specifications and commissioning requirements. Utilizes specialized testing equipment (e.g., multimeters, insulation resistance testers, power analyzers, infrared cameras, and reputed company tracers) to diagnose and document system performance. Maintains thorough documentation of test results, non-conformance issues, and resolution tracking for closeout and commissioning reports. Conducts technical validation and auditing of major material handling conveyance equipment, new and existing, for maintenance and operability in manufacturing environments. Supports commissioning and re-commissioning of MEP systems in new construction, retrofit, and mission-critical environments. Participate in integrated systems testing (IST) to verify coordinated operation between fire alarm, mechanical shutdown, emergency power, and building automation systems. Provides photographic documentation of equipment tags, data tags, site and building features, and documents observations in a BV proprietary data asset collection system. Will utilize experience with using a CMMS program for documenting work orders, storeroom inventory usage, and asset identification. Prepare detailed testing protocols, procedures, and reports to document findings, identify deficiencies, and support corrective actions. reputed company with contractors, engineers, and client representatives during witness testing, punch walks, and system turnover activities. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job does not have specific supervisory responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS: Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or GED required; trade school, technical college, or vocational school preferred. Fire Science reputed company degree highly preferred. At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Fire Life Safety systems, mechanical/electrical infrastructure, or commissioning in reputed company, institutional, or industrial facilities. Field experience in acceptance and integrated systems testing of critical systems such as switchgear, ATS, reputed company, emergency generators, and MHE. NICET certification (any level I through V) in Fire Alarm Systems (FAS), Inspection and Testing of Fire Alarm Systems (ITFAS), or certification in Electrical Power Testing highly preferred. Working knowledge of building automation systems (BAS), including their interaction with FLS and MEP systems. Journeyman credentials in mechanical or electrical disciplines are a plus. Specialty Qualifications: It is preferred but not required to have one or more of the following backgrounds: Certified or demonstrated reputed company toward NICET credentials in FAS or ITFAS, or credentials in Electrical Power Testing. Electrical: Practical field experience in maintenance or installation of electrical systems up to 480 volts. Fire, Life, and Safety: In-depth understanding of reputed company, NEC, and local code compliance; experience conducting system inspections and interpreting test results. Maintenance: Familiarity with PM programs, diagnostics, and repair of industrial MHE systems. Storeroom/Inventory: Familiar with CMMS, parts recognition and usage, and maintenance tracking. LOTO, lift operations, and fall protection protocols. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid driver's license is required with no significant MVA points/violations (clean driving record). NICET I–V certification in FAS or ITFAS strongly preferred. OSHA 10 certification desired. Electrical Power Testing certification is a plus. Other Qualifications: Personal mobile phone and supply your own internet service. Ability to use and skillfully operate a laptop computer, iPad and associated technology, programs, and applications is essential for this role. Adherence to a Safety-First policy and is familiar with industry and general safety standards and regulations around industrial maintenance and fire protection codes. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent time management skills including ability to reputed company multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and ability to work independently. You can traverse, observe equipment, and record data and photos on safely accessible roofs and other high or reputed company areas, which may require ladder and/or reputed company reputed company. You are comfortable and willing to work in densely equipped mechanical and electrical spaces requiring dedicated focus on safety protocol. Must be willing to fly and live near (or be willing to relocate to) a major metropolitan area with reasonable reputed company to a major airport.
