Job Responsibilities
As a Math Instructor / Tutor, you'll be responsible for:
- Teaching and tutoring students in-center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery using the Mathnasium Method
- Collaborating with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting
- Assessing students' learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions
- Becoming proficient with digital educational materials and processes
- Supporting the maintenance of a safe and professional learning environment
- Providing exceptional instruction and tutoring services to students
- Evaluating, grading, and correcting student work and homework
- Assisting with non-teaching and instructional tasks as needed
Essential Qualifications
To be successful as a Math Instructor / Tutor, you'll need:
- A passion for math and working with students
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Eagerness to learn and be trained
- Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I
- Ability to balance various ongoing tasks
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Experience working with students of various ages and skill levels
- Familiarity with digital educational materials and processes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
