Job Description

As a Bachelor's Degree Level Paraprofessional with The Menta Education Group, you will be responsible for working with classroom instructors and staff to offer targeted teaching and support to students in the classroom, as well as general support for all students in the school.

About Menta Academy Midway

Menta Academy Midway promotes independence in students by creating a learning environment that fosters individualization and planning. The program provides support for English and non-English speaking children with disabilities by focusing on the whole child in their native language. Collaborative and data-based problem-solving approaches are utilized to develop appropriate interventions and progress monitoring.

The classrooms integrate evidence-based strategies from the Structured Teaching Model developed by Division TEACCH, University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. Physical structure, visual schedules, work systems, communication systems, and sensory supports are thoughtfully integrated to optimize student success.

Midway serves students in grades K-12 and those transitioning from school to life ages 18-21. Disabilities served include autism, emotional disabilities, specific learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, other health impairments, traumatic brain injury, and multiple disabilities.
