Job Details We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Medical Billing Specialist to join our growing team. This is a permanent position with a competitive salary package and benefits. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in medical billing. Responsibilities: Review and process medical claims for accuracy and completeness in compliance with insurance regulations and guidelines Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility Submit and follow-up on claims to ensure timely payment Resolve billing discrepancies and denials Maintain patient records and billing information in electronic medical record (EMR) system Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers regarding billing inquiries and issues Stay up-to-date on changes in medical billing and coding regulations and guidelines Qualifications: At least 1 year of experience in medical billing and coding Knowledge of ICD-10 & CPT coding (vascular & general surgery specialty is a plus!) Knowledge of Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medi-Cal, HMO, PPO, & Worker's Compensation billing and documentation Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EMR systems If you are a results-driven, detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist with a desire to work in a dynamic and challenging environment, we encourage you to apply.
