Workers' Compensation Claim Consultant Location: 100% Remote Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM Salary Range: $75,000 - $95,000 The posted salary reflects CCMSI’s good-faith estimate of the base pay range for this role, in accordance with applicable pay transparency laws. Actual compensation will depend on qualifications, experience, and internal equity. Additional compensation may include bonuses, benefits, or other forms of pay. About the Role: Join CCMSI as a Workers' Compensation Claim Consultant, managing lost time claims exclusively in the California jurisdiction for a single dedicated account. This remote position offers the opportunity to apply your expertise in California workers’ compensation laws while providing exceptional service to our client. A California Self-Insurance Plan (SIP) certification is highly preferred. • Investigate, evaluate, and adjust California workers' compensation lost time claims per corporate standards and state regulations. • Establish and recommend reserves within designated authority levels. • Review and approve medical, legal, and indemnity-related invoices. • Negotiate settlements in alignment with client-specific guidelines and state regulations. • Maintain a detailed claim diary and provide timely status updates. • Calculate disability rates and ensure compliance with California jurisdictional laws. • Communicate effectively with clients, injured workers, attorneys, and medical providers. • Participate in claim reviews, mediations, and hearings as needed. Required: • At least two years of experience handling California lost time workers' compensation claims. • Strong knowledge of California workers' compensation laws and procedures. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, remote work environment. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Preferred: • California Self-Insurance Plan (SIP) certification highly preferred. • Prior experience attending claim reviews or mediations.
