Position: Senior Java Developer Work Location: Iselin, NJ- 08830 (Hybrid) Duration: 12 months contract with potential to extend Pay range: $85-$90/HR on W2 Note: "We are looking for candidates who are authorized to work for any employer without sponsorship About The Role Our Fortune 500 client, a leader in the financial services industry, is looking for Senior Java Developer to join their team in Iselin, NJ. Job Description: Project Details: • This candidate will be acting as a Java developer contributing to the build out/ maintenance of new and existing applications for the securities lending desk. • This will be a hands-on developer role focused on writing code and contributing to Java modules and interacting with senior team members, product owners, and securities desk as need. Top Skills: Advanced Java Development Skills: • Java development mastery in core java concepts including data structures, algorithms, multithreading, and exception handling • Good understanding of OOP principles and design patterns in java to create modular and reusable code • Proficient in java frameworks such as Spring, Hybernate and in building robust applications using these framework Databases: • Good understanding of database concepts and capable of writing efficient and complex queries, and optimizing database performance Messaging/ other technology: • Familiarity with messaging technologies like JMS, Solace and TIBCO • Experience in testing frameworks like JUnit, TestNG and Cucumber for writing unit tests and ensuring code quality • Good working experience with CICD, EPL, GIT Agile methodology: Soft Skills: • Strong communication skills, teamwork and time management skills for effective collaboration with team Preferred Experience: • Capital markets: • Sense of urgency when building • Ability to communicate with securities desk • Ability to understand finance/ securities platform • Prime brokerage is a plus Pay Range: $85 - $90/HR on W2 The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
