Dental Lab Additive Manufacturing Technician - Milwaukee VA Medical Center (Onsite)

About the position The Dental Laboratory Technician at 3D Systems will work onsite at the Milwaukee VA Medical Center, focusing on the fabrication of additive manufactured dental prostheses. This role requires a thorough understanding of oral anatomy and dental materials, as well as advanced skills in dental laboratory procedures. The technician will utilize CAD/CAM technology to design and produce various dental appliances and restorations, ensuring high precision and quality in all fabricated devices. Responsibilities • Utilize CAD/CAM for the design and production of dental models, nightguards, dentures, and crowns. , • Fabricate dental appliances such as night guards, splints, and sleep apnea devices. , • Create restorations that meet the esthetic, functional, and anatomic requirements of dental prescriptions. , • Perform various processes including waxing, investing, curing, and polishing dentures. , • Operate digital dentistry equipment such as lab scanners and 3D printers. , • Order and stock laboratory supplies as needed. , • Conduct preventive maintenance on laboratory equipment. , • Follow standard operating procedures for HIPAA compliance and safety standards. , • Assist in maintaining dental lab case due dates via a digital management system. , • Communicate effectively with dentists and the dental team to meet care standards. , • Document all patient-specific fabricated devices promptly. , • Perform post-processing for all additive manufacturing products produced in the lab. Requirements • High School Diploma or GED required. , • Certification in dental lab technology or a related biotechnology profession is preferred. , • Experience in a high-volume dental lab environment is preferred. , • Demonstrated proficiency in a dental technician role. , • Solid background in CAD or CAM applications within the dental field.
