Weekend Community Manager (CMGR) B Squared Media, LLC is looking for a Weekend and After-hours Community Manager (“Weekend CMGR”). This position is 1099 contractor status and will assist in executing social media inquiries for B Squared Media and its projects every Friday night, Saturday and Sunday with shifts between 9am – 12am (midnight) Eastern Time, including some after-hours community... management shifts between 5pm – 12am (midnight) Eastern Time. As the weekend CMGR, you will be responsible for managing the online social presence of B Squared Media and its projects. The perfect weekend CMGR will virtually glide through platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest, etc. The main goal is to manage communities by using a “Think Conversation” style and to drive positive imagery of B Squared Media and its projects to onlookers during weekends and/or after hours. • *PLEASE NOTE: Even though this job is remote, our projects are all located in the United States. Therefore a U.S. resident will best serve this position. Key Responsibilities:Community Management 100% Participates in minute-by-minute online conversation by answering questions, offering solutions and mediating conversations. Responds within 30-minutes to project conversation and questions Report project details to Project Manager and Account Manager around responses, escalation, comments, compliments, and complaints regarding brands engagement (“Rules of Engagement”) and help document FAQs (frequently asked questions) Summarize insights and conversations to create actionable insights for Account Manager Special projects as needed Utilize reputation management platforms Other Responsibilities Create, update, and complete project tasks on time in Basecamp, our project management system - some of these tasks will need to be completed during the week Track time by project task for invoicing Attend meetings with team or project leads for updates, reporting, and check-ins - these meetings are during the week Stay up to date on process changes, communication, and new tasks before your shifts begin Pre-Requisites: Familiarity with mainstream social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Instagram, and aggregators such as Emplifi and Sprout Social Able to work Friday nights, Saturdays, Sundays, and some weekdays after hours with multiple check-ins throughout the day for mentions Organized and efficient with a quick turnaround; meets or exceeds deadlines Effectively communicates in both verbal and written form Detail-oriented with excellent grammar and spelling Strong awareness of brand positioning and messaging Must be a flexible and a strong team player Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Willingness to work during nonstandard business hours, including weekends and holidays (we are open 365 days a year!) Qualifications: 1-3 years of experience managing social media platforms or communities for brands Undergraduate degree in communications, marketing, advertising, public relations, media studies, business and/or related fields Knowledge of Sprout Social and Emplifi a plus Remote/telecommute work experience a plus Eagerness to learn, self starter Job Types: Part-time, Contract Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 5 – 10 per week Schedule: Night shift Weekends as needed Application Question(s): How many social media platforms or communities for brands have you managed?
