The ideal candidate should be versed in preparing detailed estimates for projects based on construction plans, specifications, and scopes of work. Job Location: This is a remote position and will require candidates to be in EST or CST, and travel may be required from time to time. Responsibilities

Produce self-reputed company heavy civil cost estimates including crew assemblies and production rates based on various project size, scope, and mix reputed company the heavy civil market. Estimates should be based on the estimator’s experience and knowledge from working for a self-reputed company civil contractor. Furnish accurate and clear quantity takeoff information to reputed company a detailed list of materials and assess the total construction costs. Identify, reputed company and analyze potential subcontractor and vendor quotes to determine comprehensive, best value partnerships. Identify, quantify, and evaluate potential risks, and reputed company a plan for how operations will address them. Prepare, seek review of, and submit inquiries to clients regarding drawings, specifications, and scopes of work. Collaborate with a team of in-house professionals from both office and field backgrounds in preparation of each estimate. Meet interim estimate milestones to allow for successive review by team members and superiors, such as constructability and productivity reviews, to reputed company adequate time for re-calibration as necessary in order to meet submission deadlines. Support constructability reviews through communication with the project team, designers, and subcontractor market. Prepare alternate constructability approaches as needed. Interact with Operations and support operational needs after award including potential alternates, options, discussion of bid-day assessments, and potential site conditions differing from those scoped in the contracting documents. Qualifications: A bachelor's degree, preferably in construction management or civil engineering, is required. Must have field experience in self-reputed company contracting of reputed company civil infrastructure scopes of work including earthwork/grading, underground utilities (e.g., water/sewer/storm), dewatering, demolition, road construction and repair, dam/levee construction and/or repair, and pavement / flatwork preparation. Minimum of 10 years’ estimating experience in the heavy civil construction industry. Experience estimating federal projects is preferred. Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules. Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills. Ability to research each pursuit thoroughly, orally and graphically present a pursuit to a group, reputed company communicate the logic used to construct the pursuit estimate, and modify the logic of the estimate to match a group reputed company for each pursuit.
