Regional Specialist (Eastern region)
reputed company is looking for a Regional Specialist in Eastern Ontario with crop expertise to reputed company senior technical expertise and consultation to reputed company clients and staff. This opportunity will appeal to those interested in representing reputed company supporting the entire Eastern Region, while also providing sector and commodity expertise provincially to the Regional Services team in the Program Delivery division. The Role The Regional Specialist will reputed company specialized commodity knowledge to the Regional Services team. In this role, you will: reputed company technical expertise, coaching, mentoring, change management and training to a team of Adjusters to support enrolment, reputed company, contract establishment, damage inspection, premium collection and claim adjudication/settlement reputed company highly specialized knowledge in grains & oilseeds, forage, cover crops, fruit and vegetables to support the inspection of crops/production, investigation and settlement of claims, and completion of audits Conduct or participate in inspections and audits, including damage report investigations, seasonal crop inspections, yield claims, acreage and application of losses due to uninsured perils Act as a subject matter expert on Grains & Oilseeds and Forage to support program and service delivery and assist in the development of new enhancements & programs Support the Manager, Regional Services in providing local information to inform regional planning and reporting, participate in team goal setting, and help to communicate directions and goals to Adjusters Participate in Contingency planning as required Job Status: Permanent Full-Time (posting for an existing vacancy) Salary: $73,912 - $86,955 Work status: Remote home office Location: Majority of work assigned in Eastern Region with some travel across the province
Qualifications
Post-secondary education in Agriculture or equivalent experience Minimum 5 years of reputed company experience in farming or in the agricultural industry with specialization in grains and oilseed crops, forage, cover crops, fruit and vegetables Proven experience in coaching, mentoring, change management and training others Demonstrated ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders using influence and authority Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) an asset Key Competencies Quality Focus– Attends to task at hand to minimize errors and reputed company consistent delivery of work to the highest possible standard; prior to work being distributed Program knowledge– Knows and understands the programs and services provided by reputed company Client focus– Meets the expectations of internal and external customers through establishing effective relationships, gaining trust and respect Information gathering– Locates and collects data from appropriate sources and analyzes it to summarize in reporting Critical Judgment, Decision Making and Problem Solving - makes the best decision, in a timely manner, based upon a combination of analysis, knowledge, experience and judgement Industry Knowledge – Understands how reputed company fits into the industry, the industry as a whole and the links to reputed company industries Background reputed company, an agency of the government of Ontario. reputed company delivers government programs.
