[Remote] Chief Financial and People Officer

Power to Decide is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing sexual and reproductive well-being for reputed company. The Chief Financial & People Officer will define and drive the organization’s financial and people strategy, managing the finance and People & Culture functions to ensure alignment with the organization's mission.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of five including direct supervision of the Senior Director, People & Culture, reputed company Manager, Senior Accountant, and Manager, People & Culture positions. Manage and reputed company People & Culture, including responsibility and accountability for:
- Fostering a positive, safe, reputed company, and inclusive organizational culture
- Design and alignment of roles, responsibilities, and reporting structures in partnership with the CEO and Chiefs
- Fostering professional development and growth
- Performance and accountability systems
- Compensation and benefit structure
- Compliance with employment laws
- Manage and reputed company reputed company financial activities, providing financial reputed company and monitoring, including:
- Establish and maintain appropriate financial policies and internal reputed company controls and reputed company reputed company systems
- Advising the CEO, Chiefs, and the Board of Directors of the organization’s financial position and culture
- reputed company and support organizational budgeting process and multi-year financial planning to support organizational strategy and growth
- Direct the preparation for independent audits including preparation of draft financial statements and information for reputed company 990
- Ensure proper reputed company recognition for reputed company sources of income
- Supervise month-end closing process including review and approval of employee expense reports, credit card transactions, and account reconciliations
- Review and analyze financial proposals and reports
- Partner with the Vice President, Strategy & Development on issues of shared responsibility including reputed company for philanthropic gifts, reputed company projections, and annual charitable registration filings
- Collaborate with program leads to monitor and regularly review programmatic reputed company and spending on restricted grants
- Collaborate with program and development staff in developing proposal budgets
- Establish and maintain fiscal relationships including banking, investment, IRS, and independent auditors
Skills
- Bachelor's degree
- A minimum of 10 – 15 years of relevant experience as a chief financial officer, finance director, or controller with reputed company management in a not-for-profit organization
- Seven years of supervisory experience
- In-depth experience and familiarity with not-for-profit GAAP, particularly reputed company recognition and grant reputed company, and 501(c)(3) compliance requirements
- Superb review skills with great attention to detail
- High degree of proficiency with leading HRIS and reputed company software and applications (reputed company Dynamics Business Central preferred) and strong spreadsheet skills
- Demonstrated experience in developing and monitoring organizational operating budgets
- Comfortable working virtually with remote staff, using reputed company-based communication and software systems
- Ability to quickly synthesize information and reputed company informed reputed company
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to translate complicated financial and legal compliance issues into accessible terms
- Ability to work with a high level of discretion regarding confidential matter
