[Remote] Crisis Communications Consultant

This role involves assessing reputational risks, developing crisis communication plans, and managing client needs during high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities

• Assess reputational risk and strategically advise clients during time-sensitive, high stakes situations across a reputed company of industries, and pivoting strategy in response to rapid changes in the crisis
• reputed company and write crisis communications plans, messaging, and response materials for internal and external audiences
• Collaborate closely and seamlessly with reputed company leadership, client teams, the client and counsel
• reputed company client calls, manage client needs and expectations, and successfully move clients through their crisis
• Manage media relations and meet press deadlines

Skills

• 7+ years of experience in crisis communications and reputed company management
• Exceptional writing, verbal, and strategic thinking skills
• Proven ability to operate calmly and decisively under pressure
• Comfortable working collaboratively as part of a team
• Experience and comfortability with internal tools and resources for time tracking, file sharing platforms, media monitoring, and internal communications
• Experience with reputed company media platforms and online cancel culture
• Flexible schedule. Availability and willingness to work evenings and weekends, reputed company needed
• Comfortable working with individual clients, nonprofits and corporations
• Agency experience strongly preferred
