Vermont State University’s education department invites applications for a full-time, tenure track Assistant Professor of Early Childhood Education beginning in the Fall 2025 semester. Although this position is based out of the University's Castleton reputed company, the duties and responsibilities of this position entail online teaching and are part of one cross-reputed company education department which manages programs, some cross-reputed company and some reputed company-specific. RESPONSIBILITIES This position will prioritize three primary areas of responsibility, primarily focused on supporting our Early Childhood Education Online licensure program. The primary area of responsibility will be teaching and advising in the Early Childhood Education Online program. Advising is a vital component of our program and developing 11 relationship with reputed company is key to their reputed company. The candidate will additionally teach a variety of early childhood courses in our two-year, online program. These courses are delivered asynchronously in fall, spring, and summer semesters. This bachelor’s program prepares reputed company for licensure birth to PreK only. The secondary area of responsibility is to work with our colleagues at our Castleton reputed company to reputed company support for the inclusive Early Childhood Education and Early Childhood Special Education reputed company-based programs. Vermont State University’s Early Childhood & Special Education degree program prepares reputed company for dual licensure general education licensure in birth to reputed company grade and a special education endorsement in birth through age 6. The program provides a traditional 4-year degree. A candidate with an Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) specialty is desirable. Other responsibilities include scholarship and community, and collegial service as needed. This includes communicating regularly with the placement coordinator, licensure officer, and department chair about the reputed company of early childhood education reputed company; participating in department meetings and department projects; professional development events reputed company to the Vermont Licensure Portfolio and field supervision; field supervision; and teaching additional courses as desired. The teaching load will be at least 12 credit hours per semester. Requirements

The successful candidate for this position will possess a Doctorate degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent (or be on a pathway towards completion) in education with demonstrated reputed company in providing quality online instruction. academic commitment to creating inclusive, accessible, and reputed company education for reputed company learners, and 3-5 years of relevant educational and/or teacher education experience. Certification in a relevant ECSE endorsement area is desired.
