CAD Landscape Drafter, Estimator & Planner

We are a family-owned landscaping company based in Texas seeking a talented, detail-oriented professional to join our team full-time. We take pride in delivering high-quality landscape design and installation services and are looking for someone who shares our commitment to excellence. Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced CAD Drafter to prepare detailed landscape construction drawings and create professional landscape presentations using PowerPoint and Evernote. This role also includes preparing accurate cost estimates and supporting the planning and scheduling of landscape installation projects. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring seamless coordination from initial design through final installation, maintaining precise documentation, budgeting accuracy, and project organization throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities

Landscape Drafting -Prepare detailed, aesthetic and accurate landscape drawings using AutoCAD. Candidate will work with our company’s Lead Designer and design team to come up with proposals and draw designs to present to clients. -Revise drawings based on client or builder feedback. Estimating -Perform quantity take-offs from CAD drawings and specifications. -Prepare cost estimates for plants and trees, hardscape materials, soil, mulch, turf, labor and equipment. -Request and review vendor quotations -Prepare deliverables and bids to present to customers and builders -Analyze project costs and suggest cost-saving options Planning and Coordination -Coordinate with Production Manager to schedule crews on time for landscape jobs -Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for delivery dates and times -Assist in project tracking and progress reporting -Support Landscape Supervisor and material planning -Ensure materials are ordered on time -Contact crew leaders for questions and follow ups on jobs Required Skills -Must be proficient in CAD. Position training will not include CAD training. -Strong knowledge of landscape design is highly preferred -Ability to read architectural and civil drawings and use imperial system -Knowledge of basic horticulture and plant identification -Mathematical and quantity calculation skills -Good communication and coordination skills -Attention to detail Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour Work Location: Remote Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
