Experienced Bookkeeper/Financial Data Entry Specialist – ARC Command Center

Key Responsibilities

As a Bookkeeper/Financial Data Entry Specialist, you'll be responsible for:

  • Processing various financial transactions using arenaflex's accounting software
  • Posting journal entries, analyzing financial information, and preparing comprehensive financial reports
  • Coding, reviewing, scanning, and posting accounts payable invoices and processing checks efficiently
  • Preparing AR invoices for internal and external vouchers billing and reconciliation
  • Identifying and posting incoming wire transfers accurately

Daily Operations & Reconciliations

* Matching store deposits to daily sales and credit card postings with precision

  • Processing daily reconciliations for ARCs and stores
  • Assisting with store and operating account bank reconciliations
  • Monitoring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and arenaflex accounting processes
  • Maintaining open AR files and communicating effectively with customers and the ARCC Accountant

Vendor Management & Reporting

* Obtaining and maintaining vendor W-9 forms and banking information for ACH payments

  • Preparing store sales, rags sales, and vehicle sales reports
  • Assisting with preparing eligible vendors for year-end 1099 processing
  • Supporting internal audit preparations as needed

Collaborative Support

* Working closely with ARC Accountants and the Director of Finance to ensure timely month-end and year-end closing

  • Providing exceptional support to team members and maintaining positive working relationships
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance department

What You'll Need to Succeed

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • 2+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience – We value practical experience
  • Proficiency in accounting software – Quick Books, Sage, or similar programs
  • Some Excel skills
  • Experience with multi-location accounting preferred but not required
  • Strong attention to detail – Accuracy is essential in financial work
  • Excellent communication skills – You'll work with diverse teams and external contacts

Preferred Qualifications

* Accounting/bookkeeping degree OR equivalent experience – We value both paths

  • Experience in non-profit or multi-location operations is a plus
  • Comfortable with technology – Ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Problem-solving mindset – Able to identify and resolve discrepancies independently
  • Collaborative team player who enjoys helping others succeed

* Must pass a background check

  • Support for arenaflex's mission and the Vision Statement of the Adult Rehabilitation Centers Command

Schedule & Work Environment

* Schedule: Monday to Friday with excellent work-life balance

  • Location: Professional office environment with remote work opportunity
  • Flexibility: Occasional evening or Saturday overtime may be required
