Associate Accountant

Bruker is enabling scientists and engineers to make breakthrough post-genomic discoveries and develop new applications that improve the quality of human life. They are seeking an Associate Accountant to join their Corporate Accounting Team, responsible for corporate accounting and finance activities, including financial statement disclosures and compliance with reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a contributor to the monthly and quarterly closing and consolidation process
• Assist in the review of legal entity financial statements and data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting policies and procedures
• Assist with the annual audit and quarterly reviews
• Assist in analysis of financial results and creation of management reports
• Participate in maintenance and testing of the Company’s finance and accounting control policies and procedures
• Perform ad hoc projects as needed
• Perform other duties as required

Skills

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance required
• CPA qualified or actively pursuing CPA designation (partially-qualified candidates are welcome)
• Minimum 1–2 years recent work experience in public accounting, ideally with audit or advisory firm involving public companies
• Strong Microsoft Office product experience with Excel, PowerPoint, Word proficiency
• Access proficiency desirable
• Proven working knowledge of US-GAAP
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and details effectively
• Strong work ethic, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal, written, computer, interpersonal communication and presentation skills with fluent English language proficiency
• Ability to satisfactorily complete position training and compliance requirements
• Operates with a high standard of ethics, integrity, and professionalism
• Valid Driver License in good standing, issued by resident state required, with reliable transportation
• Ability to maintain a valid passport with flexibility for travel
• U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required
• May be required to pass security clearance investigation
