We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Design Release Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the design release process, ensuring quality, compliance with standards, and production efficiency for interior, exterior, chassis and powertrain components, including seats, plastics, trim, suspensions, brakes and powertrain. This role involves the use of design software like NX to perform design and release tasks.

Experience in the automotive industry is a must

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and Development: Utilize NX software and other design tools to create and develop interior components, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Release Planning: Develop comprehensive release plans for interior component designs, including schedules, milestones, and resource allocation, to ensure timely and efficient production.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement rigorous quality control processes to validate design integrity, performance, and adherence to industry regulations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design engineers, manufacturing, and suppliers, to coordinate the release process and resolve any design-related issues.
  • Supplier Management: Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the availability of materials, prototypes, and tooling necessary for design release activities.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and release packages.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reduction while maintaining design excellence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering or related field
  • Proven experience in interior, exterior or chassis components design and release, with a focus on seats, plastics, trim, suspensions, brakes and powertrain.
  • Proficiency in NX, Catia V5, and Teamcenter
  • Strong knowledge of automotive industry standards and regulations
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality designs
