Freelancing & Career Coach

Job Summary:

The Freelancing and Career Coach is responsible for preparing and guiding students to successfully start freelancing careers and secure employment opportunities. The coach will deliver structured training sessions, offer one-on-one mentorship, and support students in developing professional portfolios, freelancing profiles, and soft skills aligned with market demands. The coach will also track student progress and collaborate with technical instructors and L&D teams to ensure alignment between technical and career training.

Key Responsibilities:

· Deliver live sessions on freelancing platforms (e.g., Upwork, Freelancer, Fiverr), proposal writing, profile optimization, and client communication.

· Coach students on career planning, CV and cover letter writing, LinkedIn optimization, and interview preparation.

· Provide one-on-one mentoring and career consultation sessions for students.

· Track and evaluate student progress toward freelancing or full-time job readiness.

· Help students build competitive portfolios and work samples.

· Collaborate with technical instructors to align career coaching with students' learning tracks.

· Organize mock interviews and freelancing simulations to enhance student confidence and readiness.

· Provide regular feedback reports to the L&D department and participate in continuous improvement efforts.

· Stay updated with freelancing trends, platform rules, and market requirements.

Requirements:

· Bachelors degree in Business, Human Resources, IT, or a related field.

· Proven experience in freelancing (minimum 2 years) and/or career coaching.

· Familiarity with Upwork, Fiverr, Freelancer, or similar platforms.

· Strong understanding of job market trends and employer expectations.

· Excellent communication and presentation skills.

· Strong organizational and mentorship abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Prior experience in teaching or mentoring students.

· Experience using LMS platforms and tracking student performance.

· Certification in career coaching, freelancing, or related fields is a plus.
