Information Technology Support Specialist
Achieva is a mission-driven organization committed to supporting individuals with disabilities and their families. They are seeking an IT Support Specialist to provide technical support across multiple locations, ensuring the smooth operation of hardware, software, and network systems while offering hands-on experience and training opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site technical support to users at various Achieva locations
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
- Set up and configure workstations, peripherals, and related equipment
- Install, update, and maintain software applications
- Perform basic network troubleshooting as needed
- Document service activities and maintain accurate technical records
- Communicate clearly with staff to assess needs and resolve technical concerns
- Provide excellent customer service in all interactions
- Perform other duties as assigned --- job responsibilities may evolve based on organizational needs
- Extensive travel (approximately 50% of work time) to Achieva sites throughout Westmoreland and Allegheny counties; mileage is reimbursable
Skills
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- CompTIA A+ certification (or willingness to obtain within the first 6 months)
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and networking
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Comfort with frequent travel and flexible work hours
- Must meet Act 33/34 and FBI clearance requirements
- Valid PA driver's license and properly insured automobile for daily use
- Associate's Degree in IT or related field
