Data Scientist
BetterHelp is the world’s largest online therapy service, committed to making mental health care accessible to everyone. As a Data Scientist, you will analyze large data sets and collaborate with product teams to drive insights and support business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Get insight from an enormous amount of data, and take a proactive role partnering with the product team in identifying and exploring data-driven ideas for improving our products
- Collaborate with the product and development teams to define metrics, evaluate performance, and support data-informed decision-making
- Monitor key business and product metrics, share actionable insights, and help drive strategy and prioritization
Skills
- 1+ years of experience in a data science role or relevant internships, ideally applying analytical skills to real-world problems
- Degree in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Math, Economics, or Operations Research
- Experience working with data from web or product environments
- Proficiency in SQL
- Hands-on experience with data analysis and statistical methods through work, internships, or academic projects
- Strong grasp of core analytical concepts and ability to apply them to ambiguous problems
- Clear and thoughtful communicator, with a desire to keep improving how complex ideas are shared across different audiences
