Essential Job Functions

As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our clients, both over the phone and in-person. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Demonstrating a high level of customer assistance, responding to customer inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Receiving and recording payments in customer accounts, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Marketing to current and former customers over the phone and in-person for additional business, identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell our products and services
  • Maintaining and securing cash drawers and accounting activities, including balancing and preparing deposits
  • Performing office administrative activities, including checking branch mail, filing, and managing office supplies
  • Investigating credit and processing loan applications, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management

Required Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Effective communication and time management skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable personal transportation with insurance, with the ability to travel to client locations as needed
  • Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time, with the ability to lift and maneuver up to 20 pounds
  • A strong customer service orientation, with a passion for delivering exceptional experiences

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would be an asset in this role:

  • Previous customer service experience, preferably in a financial services or retail environment
  • Knowledge of financial products and services, including consumer loans and retail sales financing
  • Experience with CRM software and other customer relationship management tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions
