Job Summary

We are seeking a Post-Doctoral Teaching/Research Scholar to join our department as a Full-Time Lecturer. This position is a primarily teaching development program that aims to attract and prepare outstanding individuals with completed PhDs for a successful career in computer science and software engineering academia. The successful candidate will primarily engage in teaching activities in fundamental or specialized computer science and software engineering courses appropriate to their preparation. They will also be supported through mentorship by experienced educators and through the University's Center for Teaching, Learning, and Technology.

Key Responsibilities

* Teach fundamental or specialized computer science and software engineering courses to undergraduate students

• Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to engage students and promote learning
• Collaborate with experienced educators and the University's Center for Teaching, Learning, and Technology to enhance teaching skills and knowledge
• Participate in departmental and university-wide activities to promote computer science and software engineering education and research
• Conduct scholarly pursuits in partnership and collaboration with the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering
• Reduce teaching load by 20%-25% to allow for scholarly pursuits and professional development

Essential Qualifications

* Ph.D. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field

• Demonstrated experience and commitment to student-centered learning and teaching
• Ability to collaboratively work in multidisciplinary settings
• Demonstrated proficiency in written and oral use of the English language

* University teaching experience

• Experience in working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive, and inclusive environment
• Relevant work experience and professional capabilities
