Job Summary

As a Chat Moderator at blithequark, you will play a vital role in maintaining a positive and respectful online community on our Discord server. You will be responsible for moderating chat, enforcing community rules, and ensuring that all users have a safe and enjoyable experience. This is a part-time, remote, and flexible position that requires a strong sense of responsibility, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities

* Moderating chat on our official Discord server, including deleting messages that violate community rules, banning users with repeat offenses, and muting users who have broken the rules

• Investigating reports made by users about potential rule violations and taking appropriate action
• Collaborating with other moderators to ensure a consistent and fair enforcement of community rules
• Providing excellent customer service and support to users, responding to their queries and concerns in a timely and professional manner
• Staying up-to-date with community rules and guidelines, and making recommendations for improvements as needed
• Participating in regular team meetings and training sessions to stay informed about community developments and best practices

Essential Qualifications

* Must be 18 years of age or older

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED
• Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• Familiarity with Discord and online community management principles
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience as a moderator or administrator on online communities or social media platforms

• Knowledge of computer programming languages and online safety best practices
• Experience working with diverse groups and individuals
• Ability to speak multiple languages
• Familiarity with community management software and tools
