Experienced Customer Service Representative – Insurance Sales and Account Management

Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing insurance quotes, making sales presentations, and closing sales to drive business growth and revenue
  • Processing customer policy change requests in a timely and efficient manner
  • Securing all trailing documents from customers to ensure accurate records
  • Handling all incoming claim calls from customers and following up to ensure resolution
  • Completing Evidence of Insurance requests to meet customer needs
  • Greeting all customers entering the office in a friendly and helpful manner
  • Taking premium payments from customers and maintaining accurate records
  • Treating each customer contact as a cross-sell and up-sell opportunity, including financial products
  • Verifying phone numbers, addresses, and email addresses with each customer contact and updating customer information
  • Answering incoming phone calls on the first ring and returning phone messages promptly
  • Maintaining knowledge of new products and services to provide exceptional customer service and support
  • Developing and maintaining client relationships through outstanding relationship building skills

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • An upbeat, positive, and enthusiastic attitude, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service
  • The ability to create relationships from a cold start and build strong connections with customers
  • Proficiency in multi-tasking, following through, and following up to meet customer needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers and colleagues
  • The ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Professional phone etiquette and a strong understanding of customer service principles
  • Great customer service skills, with a focus on building long-lasting relationships and driving customer satisfaction
  • Problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to think critically and resolve customer issues efficiently

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would be beneficial in this role:

  • Previous experience in customer service, sales, or account management
  • Knowledge of insurance products and services
  • Familiarity with CRM software and other customer service tools
  • Certification in customer service or a related field
