About the Role
The Senior Sourcing Specialist is a key position within our procurement team, focusing on strategic sourcing and contract negotiation for professional services across The Walt Disney Company. This role involves collaborating with business stakeholders to make informed sourcing decisions, leveraging our substantial annual spend to secure the best-in-class services and innovative solutions. You'll be at the forefront of managing RFPs, negotiating contracts, and fostering strong vendor relationships, ensuring that our sourcing strategies are aligned with the company's overall goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional sourcing initiatives with key stakeholders, driving strategic sourcing decisions that optimize value and mitigate risk.
- Develop and execute RFI/RFP processes for professional services, adhering to TWDC policies and procedures.
- Analyze bids based on total cost/delivery to identify opportunities for cost optimization.
- Prepare and execute negotiation strategies using Strategic Sourcing methodology, ensuring favorable contract terms.
- Manage contract execution and post-award administration, ensuring compliance with sourcing and procurement regulations.
- Develop and maintain subject matter expertise in professional services categories through research, networking, and key initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and leverage opportunities for process improvements and innovation.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices, applying this knowledge to drive strategic sourcing decisions.
- Demonstrate exemplary integrity and ethics in all interactions, maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.
Essential Qualifications
- 5+ years of strategic sourcing experience, with a minimum of 2 years in services category sourcing.
- Strong ability to engage with and establish relationships with personnel at all levels.
- Excellent analytical and negotiation skills, with a proven track record of successful contract negotiations.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly.
- Ability to collaborate in a team environment, with a strong internal client focus.
- Knowledge of sourcing and procurement processes, basic legal terms & conditions, and industry trends.
- Proven expertise with all aspects of the sourcing process for professional services agreements.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field.
