Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented

Technical Documentation Specialist

to support a WordPress plugin company. This role focuses on reviewing, verifying, and improving AI-generated technical documentation to ensure accuracy, clarity, and usefulness for both internal teams and end-users. You will work closely with the development and support teams to maintain high-quality documentation that aligns with product updates, bug fixes, and customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and verify AI-generated technical documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with developers and support engineers to understand plugin functionality and workflows.
  • Update and maintain documentation for new features, bug fixes, and integrations.
  • Ensure consistency, clarity, and usability in all technical documents.
  • Assist support team in creating step-by-step guides, FAQs, and knowledge base articles.
  • Participate in weekly team calls to stay aligned with product updates and customer feedback.
  • Qualifications

  • Proven experience in technical writing/documentation, preferably in software or WordPress plugin environments.
  • Strong understanding of WordPress, PHP, JavaScript, or CSS is a plus.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise documentation.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted documentation tools and ability to verify their output.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working with distributed teams and across time zones.
