To continue this incredible adventure, we are currently looking for a Senior Lead Group Accounting to join our talented Finance team at our Berlin HQ (3 days per week).

This role reports to the Head of Corporate Finance and is a finance leader responsible for overseeing the organization’s financial reporting for all entities and the consolidated group. This role ensures compliance with German GAAP accounting standards (HGB), drives process optimization, and supports strategic financial initiatives. The position plays a critical role in aligning financial operations with corporate goals while maintaining the integrity of financial data across the group

What you will contribute

  • Lead the preparation and quality assurance of consolidated financial statements in accordance with German GAAP (HGB).
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes across all subsidiaries.
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial consolidations in Lucanet, ensuring accurate data handling, thorough reconciliations, and high-quality reporting output.
  • Develop and implement group-wide accounting policies, ensuring consistency and compliance.
  • Coordinate and manage external audits, including liaison with auditors and regulators.
  • Implement and optimize consolidation tools and systems to improve reporting efficiency.
  • Drive process improvements, automation, and digital transformation in accounting operations including AI tools where feasible.
  • Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals across multiple locations.
  • Own and further develop the internal control system.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, Chartered Accountant, or similar professional designation is preferred. Advanced degree (e.g., Master’s or MBA) is a plus.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, or tax, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role. 
  • Proven experience in a complex, international corporate environment with deep knowledge of German GAAP, IFRS and consolidation processes.
  • Strong numerical proficiency, organization, good problem-solving skills, and excellent use of logic.
  • Hands-on mentality and ability to navigate fast-paced and agile environments. 
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage complex financial data.
  • Experience in digital transformation, including process automation and ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA or similar).
  • Experience with Lucanet is a strong plus.
