Job Description:

The Information Designing group within Disney is looking for a Senior Data Engineer responsible for collaborating with our Studios or Project Technology teams in various activities around data requirements gathering, data validation scripting, and review. You will design and execute ETL/ELT data pipelines, plan and implement database schema, tables, and views, and deploy across multiple environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements and validate data
  • Design and execute ETL/ELT data pipelines using Airflow
  • Plan and implement database schema, tables, and views
  • Deploy across multiple environments, including DEV, QA/UAT, and PROD

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience with SQL
  • 2+ years of experience designing, building, and maintaining ETL/ELT data pipelines
  • 2+ years of experience with cloud-based technologies, preferably AWS and S3
  • 3+ years of experience in a Data Engineering role
  • Experience with SQL, Python, Gitlab, Airflow, Snowflake, Looker, and PostgreSQL
  • 2+ years of experience handling large datasets and big data technologies, preferably cloud-based

What Will Set You Apart:

  • Experience with Airflow, Gitlab, Snowflake, and Scene
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience in the streaming, media, or digital marketing industry

Minimum Qualifications and Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in a Data Engineering role
