Role Overview: We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with 8+ years of experience to join our team. You will be responsible for managing the infrastructure, ensuring the smooth deployment of applications, automating processes, and enhancing the overall performance of the system. The ideal candidate is someone with deep technical knowledge of both development and operational processes, a strong ability to collaborate across teams, and a passion for building robust systems that support mission-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and manage scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

  • CI/CD Pipeline Management: Develop, implement, and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to automate deployments and improve efficiency. Automation: Automate manual tasks such as deployments, configuration management, and monitoring using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Jenkins. Monitoring and Performance: Ensure system reliability and uptime through comprehensive monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with developers to ensure smooth integration of development and operational environments, contributing to the overall system design. Security: Implement security best practices to safeguard infrastructure, applications, and data. Cloud Architecture: Design, deploy, and manage cloud environments and services, ensuring scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness.

  • Incident Response: Be part of an on-call rotation, addressing production issues and ensuring timely resolution of incidents.

  • Documentation: Write clear, concise documentation for system architectures, processes, and workflows.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role in a cloud-first environment.

  • Strong expertise in cloud platforms, primarily AWS (AWS Certified Solutions Architect or similar certification is a plus). Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or CircleCI.

  • Expertise in infrastructure-as-code (IAC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.

  • Familiar with PostgreSQL administration and scaling.

  • Proficient in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or similar.

  • Strong understanding of version control systems like Git.

  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems and scripting languages (Python, Bash).

  • Solid understanding of networking, DNS, and load balancing.

  • Knowledge of security principles and practices in cloud environments.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a distributed system.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with microservices architecture.

  • Familiarity with serverless technologies (AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions, etc.).

  • Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.

  • Exposure to automation testing frameworks and test-driven development (TDD).

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira.
