The Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Frontend Engineer with over 5 years of experience in developing modern, scalable web applications. The ideal candidate is deeply experienced in Vue.js and proficient in crafting elegant, performant user interfaces. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop, and maintain front-end solutions that meet business needs and solve problems for our users.

Proton collaborates with Oyster HR to hire international employees as full time (long term) contractors within our company. This is a fully remote role based in Latin America.

Gross Salary range is $60,000 - $80,000 annually, based on experience.

What you’ll do:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and efficient front-end applications using Vue.js.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers and backend developers to implement responsive and user-friendly interfaces.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and accessibility.
• Lead code reviews, and contribute to building a culture of best practices.
• Ensure technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and participate in architectural decisions.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in front-end development and Vue.js ecosystem.

You'll be a great fit for this role if:

• 5+ years of professional experience in front-end development.
• Proven expertise in Vue.js (Vue 3, Vue Router, Pinia) and familiarity with React.js/React-Native.
• Strong understanding of JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience with Vuetify.js or similar UI frameworks is a plus.
• Familiarity with build tools like Vite, Webpack, or Rollup.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs
• Proficient in writing unit and integration tests using tools like Vitest or similar
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to development.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Nuxt
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Contributions to open-source projects or a strong portfolio showcasing Vue.js expertise.

Frontend

• Vue.js 3/Nuxt 3
• Migrating Vue Component frameworks from ElementPlus/iView to Vuetify
• Docker and kubernetes to deploy
• Github Actions for CI
