Front End Engineer

Hopscotch Primary Care is seeking a skilled Front End Engineer to support their Engineering and Product teams. The ideal candidate will blend technical execution, effective cross-functional collaboration, and an ownership mindset to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of professional front end engineering experience using JavaScript/TypeScript, React (or similar) and component-based UI development, ideally with Healthcare experience
• Experience supporting a hybrid model of in-house development and vended solutions
• Experience with state management, API integration, and rendering data-rich interfaces
• Experience working with backend systems or data tools to shape or transform data (ex. SQL, Python, dbt, or similar)
• Familiarity with working with healthcare data sources, different interfaces and clinical workflow software including EHR, population health tools, patient portals, and clinical decision support technology.
• Familiarity with front end testing frameworks
• Experience in a start-up or high-growth environment, ideally in healthcare
• A results-driven mindset, focusing time and resources against the most impactful priorities
• A concise and articulate communication style, breaking complex concepts down both verbally and in writing
• Customer-focused with a passion for serving patients and providers who make healthcare possible
• Agile, yet thoughtful, and can work effectively in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
• Constantly seeking ways to simplify and improve current processes, bringing a positive attitude to challenges
