General Education Adjunct - College Management Description
Under the direction of the Associate Dean of General Education, the adjunct instructor will provide online instruction in the General Education College Management Course.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adhere to online course delivery and assignment feedback standards as outlined by the General Education leadership team.
- Provide consistent and ongoing individual outreach to students to maintain a supportive learning environment.
- Collect all assessment data related to student learning outcomes.
- Return all graded assignments in a reasonable time frame according to South College Faculty Expectations.
- Project an appropriate professional image
- Maintain an equitable system of student evaluation based on sound practices in accordance with the course syllabus.
- Adhere to all South College rules and policies.
Education
- Minimum of a master’s degree in a relevant field, preferably education
Experience
- Demonstrated experience supporting first-year students and a strong understanding of a successful first-year experience
- Prior teaching experience in an online environment
- Prior teaching experience in higher education
- Proficient in the written and oral communication of the English language
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, EXCEL, and PowerPoint
