About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced engineering manager to lead one of our core product engineering teams, responsible for shipping our protocol, API, and web and mobile apps. Your work will directly impact millions of users interacting with our products.

Responsibilities

• Build and grow a full-stack team of engineers focused on shipping a high-quality product quickly and thoughtfully
• Drive engineering excellence in maintainability, performance, and attention to detail, balancing pragmatism and polish
• Triage incoming asks, considering tradeoffs with product and organizational context
• Maintain awareness of team status and capacity, escalating blockers and other issues across projects early
• Contribute code for complex features and bugs as needed
• Create stability and clarity within the team and across the org in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment
• Own hiring and developing top technical talent for your team

What Makes You a Fit

• 6+ years of experience as an engineer
• 2+ years of experience as a manager leading a consumer-facing product team
• Strong technical background building APIs at scale (and ideally applications as well)
• Proven track record of working effectively with cross-functional partners like product and design
• Experience recruiting and scaling engineering teams in high-growth environments
• Exceptional communication and prioritization skills
• Demonstrated success in building teams that deliver consistently to external users
• U.S. time zone

Strong Candidates May Have

• Prior experience building on top of blockchains
• Deep technical expertise in Python, GraphQL, and MongoDB
• Comfort moving across the stack when needed (TypeScript/React/Next and Solidity)
• Experience operating within high-ambiguity startup environments
• Strong product intuition and a keen eye for design
