Business Intelligence Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and driven Business Intelligence Engineer to join our data team in India. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and maintain scalable data solutions that drive business insights and decision-making. What You Will Do

• Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather and understand data requirements

• Design, develop, test, and deploy robust business intelligence solutions

• Define and document data models, structures, and data flows

• Ensure data quality, completeness, and consistency across systems

• Contribute to the growth and scalability of our data infrastructure

• Perform troubleshooting and provide support for existing BI tools and systems

• Participate in code reviews and promote best practices within the team

• Provide 24/7 production support as part of the team’s on-call rotation

• Work effectively across multiple time zones with minimal supervision

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience

• 3+ years of experience in business intelligence, data engineering, or data warehousing

• Strong proficiency in ETL pipelines and Python

• Advanced SQL skills including complex queries and performance tuning

• Hands-on experience with Cloud technologies such as AWS and Snowflake

• Experience integrating and processing large volumes of structured and unstructured data from multiple sources

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data design skills

• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with star schema design including fact tables, grain levels, and slowly changing dimensions (SCDs)

• Knowledge of multiple database programming languages and both relational and columnar database systems

• Familiarity with the Microsoft BI Stack (SSRS, Power BI, Azure)

• Experience with Matillion ,  Databricks and PySpark

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform
