Job Requirements Applicants must meet California state requirements to serve as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in a public school setting. This includes:
- Active California LVN license
- No additional educator credential required
- Must be available for full-time, in-person work only
- Prior experience working with pediatric populations or students with medical needs is strongly preferred
- Must be reliable, professional, and able to work independently in a school setting
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with school staff and the student’s healthcare providers to ensure medical plans are followed
- Supporting the student’s overall safety and participation in school activities
- Documenting daily care and communicating with parents as needed
