Job title: ELA P/T TUTOR FOR 4TH GRADER - 4 Days A Week Company: Tutoring of Nashville Job description : Fourth Grade English Language Arts (P/T) - This is a Four Day a Week Tutoring Contract (Monday through Wednesday One 60 Minutes Session per day / Thursday Two Hours) --Mt. Our best tutors should enjoy motivating and inspiring students to be the best that they can be The Goal is Mutual Engagement Job Overview: Fourth Grade ELA, Homework and Test Prep RESPONSIBILITIES Get to know the student and employ creative ways to teach and engage the him/her. Ability to empathize with student and show ways help organize their thoughts on paper. Ability to encourage student as they improve their reading, writing and reading comprehension skills. Use Tutor Doctor Platform to plan create lessons plans and post-session reports for our office and families within twenty-four hours of each tutoring session Effectively balance tutoring hours given for each assigned student Successfully and professionally teach students to fit their individual needs Service existing clients' concerns, questions, and requests Follow-up with office when a student?s enrollment package is low on hours Candidates must only service students whose needs meet theirs NICE TO HAVE Student lives five minutes from the school and parents have asked if there is a possibility the tutor can pick up the student at school and drive to the house for tutoring sessions. Parents works from home. ABOUT THE STUDENT Nine year old fourth grader. Enjoys video games, football and soccer. Struggles in ELA and becomes very nervous when needs to organize thoughts, write and comprehend reading. Friendly and dedicated student who wants to do well. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Minimum 2 years of experience in the education field and industry preferred Minimum of 2 years of experience in tutoring/teaching in specialized education fields preferred Credentialed tutors and/or graduate degrees are a plus Experience with basic Database/ Data Entry Be able to prepare accordingly for each tutoring session (lesson plan) Having a personality that is suited for different types of students Strong administration skills Strong typing, PC and recording skills Reliable transportation with current car insurance is a must Access to the internet, a computer, and a smart phone COMPENSATION Competitive: Competitive hourly rates based on experience and qualifications Expected salary : Location : Mount Juliet, TN Apply Job!
