About the position The Medical Assistant/Front Desk position at MHC Healthcare involves providing essential support in healthcare clinics located in and around Virginia Beach and Norfolk. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient clinic operations, assisting doctors, and managing patient care. The position offers both part-time and full-time opportunities, with a focus on compassionate patient interaction and administrative tasks. Responsibilities • Greeting and checking in patients , • Responding to client questions , • Accommodating new patients by providing intake information , • Assisting patients with filling out intake information , • Creating and maintaining patient charts , • Verifying existing appointments and scheduling future appointments , • Obtaining medical records for patients , • Scanning and uploading documents onto the web portal when needed , • Reviewing and maintaining an active patient list , • Completing missing patient procedures when necessary , • Answering phone calls and emails , • Assisting the medical doctor and in-house specialists by preparing patient paperwork and prescribed medication/supply per doctor's orders Requirements • High school diploma or GED certificate preferred , • Strong interpersonal skills , • Excellent communication skills , • Organizational skills , • Receptionist/Front Desk experience preferred Nice-to-haves • Bilingual skills Benefits • Free parking , • Paid holidays , • Health insurance , • Dental insurance , • Paid time off , • Vision insurance , • 401(k) matching , • Paid sick time Apply Job!
