Senior Data Engineer
Softeta is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to become a part of our vibrant team. This position requires the design and construction of data pipelines aimed at maintaining the accuracy and seamless flow of extensive datasets for a client who is among the leading retailers in the Baltic region.
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will leverage your expertise to architect solutions that transform and integrate datasets, implement ETL processes, and optimize database architectures. You will also play a key role in maintaining best practices in data management and governance.
Responsibilities
- Develop, construct, test, and maintain architectures (ETL pipelines, data systems) that align with business requirements;
- Optimize datasets for performance and consistency;
- Transfer data from Oracle to Google Cloud Platform;
- Ensure data quality and maintain robust data governance.
Technologies you will work with include GCP, BigQuery, Oracle, SQL.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field;
- Strong experience with SQL and programming languages such as Python;
- Knowledge of cloud platforms and their data services is essential, with a preference for GCP and BigQuery;
- Experience with Oracle would be a plus;
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail;
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
