Senior Digital SEO Copywriter

Apply today and take the first step to Destination: Progress.As a senior digital SEO copywriter supporting our Acquisition Experience team for Progressive.com, you'll craft and optimize clear, human-centered content that educates insurance consumers, aligns with user needs and search behavior, and supports Progressive's brand voice. In this role, you'll create engaging concepts that effectively meet client objectives, reflecting marketing strategies and aligning with our brand essence and voice. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including SEO analysts, designers, developers, and strategists, to deliver intuitive, high-impact web content that drives engagement and organic visibility.When submitting your application, please include a portfolio of writing samples.This is a remote position with occasional travel to Corporate Headquarters roughly three or four times per year.Must-have Qualifications
  • High school diploma/GED equivalent or higher and a minimum of eight years professional experience as a copywriter within an advertising or marketing agency
  • {OR} Bachelor's degree or higher in Communications, Journalism, English or related field of study (Liberal Arts, Humanities, Advertising) and five years of professional experience as a copywriter within an advertising or marketing agency
Preferred Skills
  • Deep experience collaborating with SEO, designers, web developers, and analysts to create user-first copy in high-traffic, performance-driven environments—from page-level storytelling to component-level microcopy—including editing for readability and cognitive load to drive engagement and quotes/purchases
  • Experience writing and editing long-form, educational SEO content based on user intent, topic relevance, and internal linking strategies that support organic discoverability. History of strong writing skills, ability to make sound editorial decisions, and experience advocating for the user in content and product decisions
  • Experience delivering and incorporating peer and stakeholder feedback and collaborating with stakeholders to achieve content that's both accurate and engaging
  • Working knowledge of AI-enhanced tools for analysis, content inventorying, testing, and ideation workflows—not content production
  • Experience in insurance, financial services, agency settings, or other related industries
Compensation
  • $72,100 - $96,100/year
  • Gainshare annual cash incentive payment up to 30% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
