The EAP Counselor will assist employees accessing the EAP benefit provided by their employer for such things as counseling, help finding community resources, conflict management, substance abuse and psychological issues. The EAP Counselors must have excellent customer service, diverse social skills, and the agility to think on their feet. While occasionally needed, experience assessing for mental health emergencies and coordinating care for any such need is required. Broad knowledge of substance abuse is important and a general familiarity with resourcQualificationsEducationMinimum Level of Education Required: Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferredAdditional requirements:§ Type of degree: Bachelor’s / Master’s§ Area of study or major: Counseling or Social Work from an accredited university required.§ Preferred educational qualifications: N/A§ Position specific testing requirement: Dependent licensure in behavior health required.
