ResponsibilitiesThe Psychologist provides psychodiagnostic evaluations, psychological counseling and crisis intervention to patients and families. Provides recommendations and consultations to staff members regarding patient care matters.Specific Duties:

• Conducts psychological evaluations, including collection of anamnestic information and mental status examination, leading to diagnostic impression and recommendations for management and/or treatment.
• Provides psychological treatment and interventions, as indicated, including individual, marital-family and/or group counseling as well as crisis intervention.
• Prepares and delivers oral and written psychological reports to appropriate medical and/or clinical staff in a timely manner.
• Maintains records as required by hospital policies, regulatory and accrediting agencies.
• Establishes and maintains an appropriate clinical caseload.
• Participates in departmental and rehabilitation team meetings and conferences regarding patient care issues.
• Participates in training and education of medical residents, patients/families, staff members and others as directed.
• Contributes to program improvement in an effort to improve quality of clinical services on an ongoing basis.
• Performs other duties as requested.

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:

• Doctoral degree (PhD, PsyD, EdD) in Psychology required
• Current and valid state licensure as a Psychologist required

Preferred Experience:

• Neuropsychology degree and neuropsychological practice within a rehabilitation setting preferred
