Remote Phone Receptionist
Job Title: Remote Phone Receptionist (Part-Time | Insurance Agency) Job Description: ShieldCo Insurance, a family-owned independent insurance agency based in Missouri, is seeking a friendly and professional Remote Phone Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our clients. You'll be the voice that makes people feel cared for and confident — while working from the comfort of your home. We’re looking for someone dependable, personable, and tech-comfortable who can represent our values of truth, transparency, and honesty. Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls during scheduled hours via RingCentral VoIP
- Greet clients warmly and route calls or log messages appropriately
- Notify our internal team of urgent issues via Slack
- Provide top-notch customer service with a calm, Midwestern-friendly tone
Requirements:
- Must be U.S.-based (Midwest preferred)
- Comfortable with phones, web-based tools, and remote work
- Professional and friendly phone voice
- Ability to learn quickly and follow scripts
- Experience in insurance, customer service, or office admin is a plus
- Must be available to work Monday–Friday, 8:30am–12:30pm CST
Compensation:
- $16-$17/hour
- Paid bi-weekly via direct deposit
- Part-time: 20-30 hours/week
