Summer 2025 Social Media and Marketing Internship at Heart N Hands Location: New Orleans, LA Type: Internship Duration: 3 months (Flexible start and end dates with opportunity for extension) About Heart N Hands: Heart N Hands is a New Orleans nonprofit dedicated to raising awareness about heart disease among young girls in the community. For the past 10 years, we have been committed to educating and empowering the youth to lead heart-healthy lives through various programs and initiatives. Position Overview: We are seeking passionate and creative Social Media and Marketing Interns to join our team. This internship is an excellent opportunity to gain quality, hands-on work experience in the nonprofit sector. You will play a crucial role in enhancing our online presence and engaging with our community. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement social media strategies to increase online visibility and engagement.
- Create, curate, and manage content for our social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.).
- Monitor and analyze social media performance using analytics tools.
- Assist in the planning and execution of marketing campaigns and events.
- Collaborate with the team to create promotional materials and content for newsletters, blogs, and websites.
- Engage with our online community and respond to inquiries and comments in a timely manner.
- Conduct market research and stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in social media platforms and tools.
- Creative mindset with a keen eye for design and detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for community service and making a difference.
