Manager, Sustainability Creative [Remote]
Netflix Sustainability works to reduce our carbon footprint by modernizing the making of film and TV and engage our millions of members on issues and solutions around sustainability. Leveraging Netflix's innovative and fast-paced culture, this position in Netflix Sustainability will support multiple functions across the company with technical and creative expertise that help creators tell accurate, authentic, and entertaining stories. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Serve as a subject-matter expert, providing support to internal teams, show and film creators, and industry stakeholders.
- Stay ahead of sustainability trends in filmmaking, as well as emerging narratives in media (articles, books, podcasts, etc.).
- Develop resources such as reference decks and tip sheets to support internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain an up-to-date reference library of sustainability in films and shows, articles, research, IP, etc.
- Manage project workflows, including tracking creative queries, managing timelines, and measuring outcomes.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in the entertainment industry, particularly in scripted genres.
- Strong understanding of a broad range of sustainability topics and trends
- Strong ability to build relationships and communicate with content executives, various internal teams, and external stakeholders.
- Proven research skills with the ability to synthesize complex information from various sources, including academic studies.
- Experience collaborating with industry groups and research organizations.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives independently.
- Ability to handle a fast-paced environment, simultaneously assisting and/or supervising several projects in various phases.
- A plus: Advanced degree in Environmental Engineering, Science, Policy, Management, or a related field - or equivalent experience.
Location: United States - with preference for Los Angeles, California (with option to work remotely 1-2 days per week). Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $160,000 - $360,000. We also offer paid leave of absence programs. Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off.
