This position will be involved in Community Outreach, Children/Youth, Education, and Health, and is a partnership with the Graham County Cooperative Extension and Safford City-Graham County Library. The AmeriCorps member will primarily support library programs and services. For example, assist in the preparation and presentation of summer programs ranging from preschool to adult audiences like the online reading program. The AmeriCorps member will work with diverse audiences from youth to seniors in the community. Able to communicate effectively when working with Library staff, the public, and volunteers, and a love for learning and willingness to participate actively in community events is necessary. Member Duties : Support library programs & services. Assist in the preparation & presentation of programs ranging from preschool to adult audiences, one such program is the online reading program. Event planning & execution of FCHS & SNAP-ed programming. Teaching basic nutrition, physical activity, & food programs to community members both youth and adults as a team member in conjunction with Community Outreach. Program evaluation and reporting. Support staff in the use of the library Makerspace Event set-up, breakdown and actively participating in events. Teaching basic lessons to community members both youth & adults as a team member in conjunction with staff Community Outreach Community promotion of events. Program evaluation & reporting.
