Every one of the 338 hotel rooms features a full wall of floor-to-ceiling windows with sweeping views of Manhattan and/or the mighty Hudson River. The hotel?s inviting and scintillating public spaces include a bustling German beer garden at ground level, the rooftop discoth?que Le Bain, the legendary Top of The Standard, and an outdoor public plaza with rotating art installations and activations. Mission Statement Our mission is to create experiences by embracing and empowering a diverse collective of team members, collaborators, and guests, who chose to call The Standard home. #StandardFamily Duties and Responsibilities ? Interact and provide food and drinks for guests in restaurant ? Keep dining room area clean and organized ? Maintain a properly set wait station (see SOP?s) ? Make sure all side work is complete ? Review menu daily for changes and specials ? Describe menu items and wine as requested, per training ? Follow the service and house standard and expectations at all times ? Open all wine/water bottles ? Take order properly ? Make sure tickets are neat and organized ? Ensure that all closing side work is thoroughly completed Skills and Qualifications ? 2+ years' experience in a NYC upscale, fast paced and high-volume restaurant ? Must be at least 18 years old ? Excellent knowledge of POS systems ? Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions according to established procedures ? Fluent in the English, write, read and speak. Bi or Multi-lingual a plus ? Work efficiently, utilize multi-tasking, prioritize tasks ? Personal comportment in line with Standard, New York policies, standards, and expectations Physical Requirements ? Able to work standing for a minimum period of 8 hours a day ? Periodical bending, kneeling, and stretching ? Able to pull, push, carry and lift at least 40 pounds of force ? Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands ? Able to work in a loud environment Compensation and Benefits ? $15.00/hour + TIPS ? Excellent and Affordable Health care coverage ?
