Our system also includes a psychiatric hospital, multiple specialty care centers, six residency programs and more than 50 affiliated physician practices. HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT Your Role: ? Responsible for the filling and dispensing of medication orders including the proper handling, usage, and storage of drugs in the pharmacy. ? Maintains standards set by the department and translates policies and procedures into the daily operation of the pharmacy. ? Responsible for acting as an information resource to patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding medication therapy and drug-related information and literature. ? Plans and organizes work schedule of supportive personnel and pharmacists, as required. ? Under the direction of the Clinical Coordinator and the Pharmacy Director, optimizes patient medication therapy by providing comprehensive clinical pharmacy services. ? Works collaboratively with the health care team to accomplish goals. ? Assignments may include but not limited to the following specialty areas: infectious disease, oncology, cardiovascular, medication safety, and Pharmacoeconomics. Reports: ? Director of Pharmacy and Supervisor Pharmacy Supervises: ? Pharmacy Technician I and II WHAT YOU?LL NEED TO APPLY Education: ? Minimum: Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy from an accredited institution. ? Preferred: Advanced degree or enrollment in advanced degree program. Required Experience: ? None Preferred: 1+ years experience as a registered pharmacist in a hospital setting. Required Certification/License/Registry: ?
