As a Mammography Technologist, you will operate your assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide Mammography services within professional standards and with excellent customer service. Each patient comes to our centers looking for answers. You will guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process. This position is full-time, working Monday - Friday. Must be proficient in QC. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (90%) Patient Mammography Imaging ? Prior to the examination, the patient is examined for any precautions or contradictions, with the use of two patient identifiers to confirm the accurate patient and procedure ? Guides patients through Mammography imaging procedures, providing information about the process and positioning individuals in a manner conducive to comprehensive body scans ? Administers both routine and advanced mammography scans on specified body areas to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patient ailments, with little supervision and no requirement for repeat scans, while also engaging in verbal interaction with patients to provide comfort during the procedure ? Properly calibrates mammography scan settings and modifies them as needed, incorporating appropriate methods for minimizing radiation dose ? Upholds a proactive approach and builds strong working relationships with radiologists, clients, and peers ? Precisely follows the instructions of healthcare providers and complies with safety protocols to ensure the safety of oneself, patients, and coworkers ? Upholds precise patient record-keeping in the Radiology Information System (RIS) ? Supports good safety practices by keeping the work area orderly and clean, benefiting both patients and co-workers ? Administers ACR toolkit updates and accreditation regulations ? Preserves the working order of equipment and sanitizes it post each use to uphold cleanliness standards ? Verifies that all actions align with the regulations set forth by HIPAA (5%) Mammography Department Support ? Assists in ensuring the imaging protocol handbook is current and facilitates software modernizations ? Tracks the availability of medical supplies and seeks to restock supplies as required ? Assists with the instruction of new team members, supplying support and expertise in applicable areas (5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Requirements

Required: ? ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing ? Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography ? Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable ? Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification ? Must have training and experience sufficient to competently perform Mammography procedures independently ? Certification in imaging specialty ? Must have continuing CEU's in modality as required by MQSA or state specific Preferred: ?
