Freight Processing Lead

In this role, you will oversee the receiving, sorting, and processing of merchandise to ensure timely and accurate distribution to our stores. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in freight processing and possess excellent organizational and communication skills. If you are ready to take on a challenging and rewarding role, we want to hear from you! Oversee the receiving, sorting, and processing of merchandise in a timely and accurate manner. Ensure all freight is processed according to company standards and procedures. Monitor and maintain inventory levels to meet store demands. Train and supervise a team of freight processing associates. Develop and implement efficient processes to improve productivity and accuracy. Communicate with store management to prioritize and coordinate merchandise flow. Maintain a clean and safe work environment in the freight processing area. Handle any issues or discrepancies with incoming merchandise and work with vendors to resolve them. Utilize inventory management systems to track and monitor merchandise flow. Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders. Continuously monitor and adjust processes to ensure maximum efficiency and accuracy. Create and maintain reports on freight processing activities for management review. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operation of the distribution process. Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Motivate and lead the team to meet and exceed productivity goals. Communicate any supply chain issues or delays to upper management. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures at all times. Seek out and implement new strategies and technologies to improve freight processing operations. Handle and resolve any customer complaints or concerns related to merchandise distribution.
